FutureMakers+ - Make your own USB microscope

Future Makers have announced that they will be holding a workshop for young people in how to make a USB Microscopes on Saturday 14th December at Does Liverpool.

They are described as being  great fun and a brilliant first step in building your own DIY home laboratory. The workshop is just a couple of hours long and using a simple kit and some basic tools, they'll will walk you through the steps of how to turn an old usb webcam (provided) in to a functioning, hi resolution microscope with a really simple and robust focusing mechanism.

Your microscope will out perform many shop bought, low-end digital microscopes, that cost two or three times as much, and you'll have the deep satisfaction of knowing you made it yourself!

This is an upgraded and much easier to make version of this classic instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/SONY-EyeToy-USB-webcam-to-microscope-up-cycle-proj/
